Joseph and Sherril first met through mutual friends in 2003 and quickly became close friends. Although life led them down different paths, they always held a special place in each other’s hearts.

Joseph reached out to Sherril on Instagram. Despite living in different states—Joseph in Georgia and Sherril in New York—their relationship blossomed through countless phone calls and weekend visits. True love knows no distance.

Valentine’s Day 2025: From the Heart
While on the phone, Joseph casually asked, “Why aren’t we married yet?” In that lighthearted moment, they realized there was no reason to wait any longer. Sometimes, the most meaningful moments simply come from the heart.

Two Weeks Later: The Proposal
Joseph made it official with a heartfelt, romantic proposal, asking Sherril to spend the rest of her life with him. She joyfully said, “Yes!”

A Year Later: Our Holy Matrimony
After an intimate civil ceremony, they are now ready to celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the Catholic Church, looking forward to receiving God’s blessing surrounded by family and friends.
